Gangnam Breast Augmentation | Bounce Implant Surgery Review and How to Choose Feel and Size
A guide to the newly released Bounce implant, covering how feel and size depend on your body, why the same cc can look different, and what side effects to expect.

Are new implants better than existing products?
The Bounce implant, recently released, is attracting a lot of attention. Many people want to know about its feel, its shape, and which types of breasts it suits best. Being new doesn't necessarily mean it's better or more natural. Each implant has its own strengths, and those strengths only come through when the choice takes into account the chest wall, skin, breast tissue, and more.
Today, let's take a closer look at the newly released Bounce implant.
I'm Kim Ju-won of Melon, your breast care physician with a solution for every breast concern.
Bounce implant | Focus on its strengths, not on the fact that it's new

The Bounce implant has the advantage of giving you one more option to choose from. However, rather than focusing on the fact that it's new, you'll make a better decision by looking at its actual strengths.
When choosing an implant, people usually look at size and feel. But implants have many characteristics, from gel viscosity and surface texture to the fill ratio of the internal gel, width and height, and overall shape. Not only Bounce, but well-known implant brands like Mentor and Motiva all have different characteristics.
I'm often asked which implant is the best, and some people suspect I have a personal favorite that I'm just not sharing. It's true that certain implants are popular at certain times. But I don't believe there is any implant that is “the one best option.” The best implant is always the one that matches your body.
During consultations, we talk through many things, including the implant and size you want. But the final choice is made only after thoroughly examining your body, including the chest wall, breast pocket, and skin. When you understand the pros and cons of each option, you'll be more satisfied with your choice, implant included.
Bounce implant review | Same implant, different feel

Some implants are known for their great feel. But will you really get a great feel if you have surgery with that implant?
People with sufficient skin and fat tissue will have the implant covered thickly and softly. Conversely, if your skin is thin or you have little breast tissue, the edges or folds of the implant may show through. The insertion position, the volume you choose, and how the capsule forms after surgery all affect how it feels.
You can truly feel the texture only after your breasts have settled into place. In the early stages, swelling is still present, so the breasts may feel firm and raised. As the swelling goes down and things stabilize, your own unique feel emerges, and the shape becomes clearer as well.
I often meet people who choose an implant based on reviews. When reading Bounce implant reviews, it's better to look beyond a single word like “good” or “not great.” Also check how long ago the surgery was done, what size was chosen, what the skin condition is, and other body conditions. That way, you can get a much more accurate idea of what the feel will be like.
Bounce implant size | The same cc can produce a different shape

Have you heard the saying, “You need to insert about 000 cc to get a full C cup”?
The full C cup is a commonly mentioned dream size, but if you look closer, it's not just about the number.
“Full C cup” refers to a C cup that looks full and also has a beautiful shape.
Before going to the clinic, you usually can't know the exact size of your implant in advance. So many people look at the experiences of those who've had surgery and try to estimate how many cc they'd need to get a beautiful C or D cup. However, implants with the same cc don't necessarily produce the same breast shape. Even at the same size, the implant's shape can differ. It may be narrower or wider, and it may be lower or higher in profile.
The surgeon's technique also affects the shape to some degree. For example, if an overly wide implant is inserted into someone with a narrow chest wall, the breast boundaries can become blurry. Conversely, inserting a narrow implant can give the impression that the breasts aren't fully filled out. So when deciding the size of any implant, not just Bounce, we first look at body conditions such as the chest wall, the breast pocket, the distance from the collarbone to the nipple, and skin thickness and elasticity. If the chest wall or breast size differs between the two sides, the implant sizes can also be chosen separately for each side.
When thinking about size, it's best to consider not the largest size, but the most beautiful size.
Instead of the number in front of “cc,” think about how far you can go within your body's conditions and what size would suit you.
When you picture that, your breasts reach their most beautiful potential.
After Bounce implant surgery | Side effects and follow-up care are the same across all implants

Even when using a good implant, you cannot completely eliminate the risks that come with surgery. There are no separate side effects specific to Bounce implants. Breast augmentation side effects are common to all implants.
A representative example is capsular contracture, in which the capsule forms thickly. Although rare, infection and rupture should also be considered. To reduce side effects, accurate diagnosis before surgery is essential. If the diagnosis is careless and you choose an implant too large for your body to handle, or if the breast pocket isn't handled smoothly, it becomes difficult for the breasts to settle in a stable way.
If one breast becomes severely swollen after surgery, or if warmth and pain intensify, notify your medical team immediately.
Bounce implant | Whether it suits your body is what matters

The Bounce implant is simply one of many options. There's no need to choose it just because it's new, and no need to rule it out just because you're unfamiliar with it. What matters is whether it fits your body. It's best to consider whether it suits your chest wall, skin, and breast tissue, whether the line you want can be achieved, and if so, to what extent, and then make your choice.
So whether you're considering Bounce breast augmentation or another implant, rather than deciding based on someone else's review, look carefully at your own body first.
When you're preparing for breast surgery, even small choices can feel difficult. Rather than trying to find all the answers on your own, I hope you can make the best choice through consultation with your physician.
Thank you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Bounce implant better simply because it's new?
Being new alone does not make an implant better or more natural. Each implant has its own strengths, and those strengths become apparent when the choice is made after considering the chest wall, skin, breast tissue, and other factors.
What is the best implant?
There is no single correct answer. The best implant is the one that matches your body best. Some implants are popular at certain times, but it's important to choose after carefully examining your body conditions, including your chest wall, breast pocket, and skin.
If implants have the same cc, will the breast shape be the same?
No. Even at the same cc, the breast shape can differ depending on the implant's width, height, and overall shape. Surgical technique and body conditions can also cause the shape to vary somewhat.
When can you truly feel the implant's texture?
You can truly feel the texture once the operated breasts have settled into place. In the early stages after surgery, residual swelling can make the breasts feel firm and raised.
Do Bounce implants have different side effects from other implants?
There are no separate side effects unique to Bounce implants. Breast augmentation side effects are common to all implants. A representative example is capsular contracture, in which the capsule thickens. Although rare, infection and rupture should also be considered.
What symptoms after surgery should I report to my medical team?
If one breast becomes severely swollen, or if warmth and pain intensify, notify your medical team immediately. Accurate diagnosis before surgery is also key to reducing side effects.
